Crockpot Beef Chili
Ingredients:
2 pounds organic, grass-fed ground beef
1 onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced/whole tomatoes with water
4 stalks of celery, chopped
4 carrots, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
1 (15ounce) can chickpeas
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon parsley
1 tablespoon basil
1 tablespoon salt
Directions:
- The night before chop up the carrots, celery, onions and garlic, put it all in a container and stick it in the fridge overnight. Add all the spices to the container of vegetables.
- Then brown the ground beef on the stove in a frying pan. When they cool, put then in another container and stick it in the fridge overnight.
- In the morning, put all the ingredients into the crockpot, turn the crockpot on for 6hrs at low and dinner is ready and warm when you get home in the evening.
