Love keeps you healthy

February is the month when LOVE is in the air.

Valentine’s Day is a commercialized day to celebrate romantic love, but the truth is love itself is a biological necessity of life and is needed for good health.  Numerous scientific studies have shown that love is vitally important to emotional health as well as our physical wellbeing.  This is not only isolated to romantic love, but also includes love as a general social support network including family, friends, associates and even pets.

In order for us to grow and develop normally we need love.  We need love and human touch to keep us healthy.

Love is often associated with the heart so in this newsletter we will talk about cardiovascular health.  When we think of love we also tend to think of our hormones, so I also have an article about hormonal balance.
