Value yourself, Value your health

I want you to see the value in your health.  In order for you to live your life to the fullest, you need your health.  Your health is the most valuable thing you have.  You need to have your health so you have the ability to do everything else in your life that you want to do.

Often, we don’t see the value in our health until we have a health challenge and see the difficulties in living without our bodies operating at full capacity.

We need to see the value in taking care of ourselves. We need to be okay with making ourselves a priority, and not see it as being selfish but as life-affirming.

We need to see the value in a type of medicine that works under a model of prevention and wellness;  a type of medicine that sees all symptoms as signs of imbalances in the body;  a type of medicine that looks for the cause of the problem and works to treat the cause;  the type of medicine that aims to help the body regain proper physiology.  We, as a society, need to truly begin to understand the value in naturopathic medicine.  We need to see the value in truly taking care of your health, at a physical, cellular, biochemical and energetic level.

It’s time to value yourself and invest in your health.

Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy new year!!

What is the difference between wheat-free and gluten-free?

Wheat has a large amount of a protein called “gluten”, but there are other grains that have gluten in smaller amounts such as barley, rye and spelt.  Therefore a “wheat-free” diet excludes the foods with wheat but you can still have other grains that contain gluten such as barley, rye and spelt.  “Gluten-free” is taking things a step further than wheat-free which means that you have to avoid wheat, barley, rye and spelt.

Healthy and Active Metabolism Program

With the New Year here, many people are making their new year’s resolution.   Many of us start the year with the motivated goal of wanting to lose weight, but as the year goes on many people give up on their goals and are disappointed by the results.  Did you know that 50% of people fail at their diet attempts?  At first many diets seem to work, but you can’t seem to maintain the diet or maintain the weight loss.  Many dietary plans focus on caloric intake and disregard food quality and underlying metabolic dysfunction.  Most diets rely on the simple assumption that we are all the same and require the same foods.

The Healthy and Active Program sets you up for success and positive results.  This is a program that re-establishes an individual’s metabolism using foods that specifically work with your metabolism.  When your metabolism is in balance then weight loss is a natural side effect.  You become healthier when you are eating the foods that work for you, instead of eating foods that work against your body.
