1. Manufacturer – professional brands ensure quality, effectiveness and desired results; 3rd party testing to ensure what is on the label is what is in the product. NPN number tells us that it is regulated by Health Canada. Typically they are using the highest quality substances in the most bioavailable form from natural sources with no extra fillers added.
2. Source – Where are the microbes coming from? Is it cow’s dairy, vegetables, soil or human microflora? I don’t recommend cow’s dairy as we have different microflora than cow’s, so not the most beneficial source. Vegetable and soil sources are good for maintenance. Human microflora is beneficial for rebuilding the foundation of the microbiome.
